Online investing seems to be increasingly popular, and although investing doesn’t come without risk, there is the opportunity to possibly make some extra cash. Especially with the holidays approaching, monitoring your finances is generally a good idea- with or without investing. Have advice? post it and share your insight with others.
Get the full storyThe opening clip show a “dollar giveaway” promotional stunt put on by a student organization to help publicize an informational seminar on investing. Other groups have done similar forums, like Alpha Kappa Psi’s “Investments 101- Starting Your Portfolio”. These events are free and often have food- so if you want to learn more about investing, our student groups here on campus are a great resource.

A recent article (11/) in the Wall Street Journal talks about how one can get started in investing too.It points to Sharebuilder.com and dripinvestor.com amongst other online resources.
