A group of citizens called the Minute Men, have decided to patrol the border with hopes to “protect” California and other states. Because these citizens are viewed as both a vigilante like organization and as supporters of homeland security, their existence has brewed controversial debates. California protesters have been an obstacle for Minute Men because of their conflicting views concerning the rights of citizens, the duties of the state, and of immigration.
