Recent comments made by the Iranian president calling for Israel to be “wiped off the map” have got many world leaders riled up – so much so that UN secretary general Kofi Annan cancelled a scheduled trip to the region. With mounting pressure on the Iranian government to disarm its nuclear program, a peaceful and diplomatic solution is needed now more than ever. However, is the world over reacting to these comments?
